About Shuaicheng

At Shuaicheng, our story doesn’t begin in a boardroom—it begins in a small village in northern China, in a modest 200-square-meter workshop filled with the scent of fabric, soil, and dreams.

Our founder, Liu Baoying, was born into a farming family. He grew up with his hands in the earth, understanding the rhythm of the seasons and the needs of plants. Later, he worked in international trade, where he saw a rising trend: more and more people in cities longed to grow their own vegetables, herbs, and flowers—even if all they had was a balcony or rooftop.

But the tools available didn’t meet their needs. Plastic pots lacked breathability. Ceramic containers were heavy. Wooden boxes rotted quickly. So, Liu Baoying asked a simple but powerful question:

What if we could make a grow bag that’s breathable, durable, lightweight, and eco-friendly?

That question planted the first seed of Shuaicheng.

Humble Beginnings

In the early days, everything was handmade—cutting, stitching, packaging. There were just three sewing machines and a small team who believed in the idea. Orders were scarce. Mistakes were many. But the vision was clear.

Liu Baoying carried samples from market to market, demonstrating how breathable felt could help roots grow stronger. He worked with material suppliers to develop non-woven felt that could withstand the sun, rain, and time. Every day, they stitched not just bags—but a better future for urban gardening.

Growing with Purpose

Our breakthrough came when our first shipment was exported to the UK. One customer sent us a photo of tomatoes and mint flourishing on her apartment balcony. Her words were simple, yet unforgettable:

“Thank you for letting me bring the garden home.”

Since then, Shuaicheng has grown from a tiny workshop to a 3,000-square-meter modern facility, exporting millions of grow bags to more than 30 countries worldwide.
